I hope the lady in question achieves some success with gaining footage that will make the media happy one day.
Could not tell how big the animal was in the Otways big cat footage but some self appointed "experts" managed to work out the height of the animal from the
"...uncut vegetation and fence posts "

It was also identified by our "experts" as a fox..or a feral cat..yep..they are sort of the same animal.. :)
I loved the dripping sarcasm....

This pearl of wisdom below is probably one of the funniest quotes I have seen in years....

So..we rely on the govt..who dont care..and the media..who care even less..to keep records of sightings..and out of that magic pudding..a species identification...
Watch the bouncing ball....
You cannot get a species identification from a collection of ....anecdotes.
How anyone could not understand that..is simply breathtaking..
But..there are more rib ticklers ...
At the moment the progress of this research is in the hands of self-funded and well-meaning amateurs, so the limitations are obvious.

But at least our "expert"..by implication..is a cut above the great unwashed...
